For their last Swing at Jungle of the season, Lindy Spirit is organizing a social dance with Lindy Hop & Forró with the collaboration of Bora Forró Amsterdam.
We will be showing some moves so that everybody gets the chance to learn some basics from both dances.
Every 30 min we switch style.
All evening dancing!

Lindy Hop - American freedom dance
The Lindy Hop is an Afro-American dance which was born in the Black communities of Harlem
It is mainly based on jazz, tap, and Charleston and has a big influence from african-american dances
It's name comes from the historical fact when Charles Lindbergh flew in 33 hours from America to Europe. It was World news and in the New York Times was the heather "Lindy Hops The Atlantic"
- At the same time Big Bands were coming up in New York with stars like Count Basie and Duke Ellington
- Afro-Americans were suffering from racism and poverty and found their "way out" dancing on swing music
