Forró Workshops with Bruna Azevedo

We are very pleased to have the talented Bruna Azevedo for three workshops in Amsterdam! She will bring the concepts of Musicality and Dialogue in Dancing to enrich the dances of forrozeiros with some time on the road that are looking for new ways to polish their style.

Bruna, originally from Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, discovered her passion for partner dance and Forró in 2016 while living in Curitiba. Initially a hobby, it soon became a passion as she volunteered at a dance school. In 2018, she moved to Dublin and joined the local Forró community as a volunteer teacher.

Her journey continued in the Netherlands in 2020, where she trained with renowned teachers and became a key member of the Forró Den Haag community in 2021, teaching classes and organizing events. By 2022, she was offering regular classes in Utrecht and expanded her teaching to other Dutch and international Forró communities by 2024, including Germany, Belgium, and Greece.

Bruna's classes emphasize technique, autonomy, musicality, and comfort, encouraging students to explore their own style. She offers various teaching formats and focuses on Roots style while incorporating Forró Universitário and Forró Eletrônico for a versatile dance experience.

❗️No basic steps will be explained in any of these workshop.

You should have at least completed a Beginners II course to join this workshop.

The workshop will be more on the improver level side than on the beginners level.
